Tim Hale
Tim’s experience in investment management provides the intellectual capital that is the foundation for Albion Strategic Consulting.
Tim is passionately committed to working with wealth managers to help them deliver the highest quality of service to their clients. His book Smarter Investing: Simpler Decisions for Better Results was published to FT Prentice Hall in 2006. Prior to setting up Albion Strategic Consulting in 2001, Tim worked for Chase Asset Management (now part of JP Morgan).
Craig Heron
Craig Heron is a member of Henderson New Star’s Multi-manager team, one of the largest and most experienced retail multi-manager teams in the UK.
Craig has more than 12 years experience in the investment management industry, having managed funds of funds at New Star and previously been Head of Managed Funds Research at Edinburgh Fund Managers. Prior to this he was Senior Research Analyst at Greig Middleton & Co. Craig is a CFA charterholder.
Simon Armstrong
Simon Armstrong is a founding partner of Saltus. He is a member of the asset allocation committee and investment committee bringing nearly two decades of professional investment experience to the table. Before establishing Saltus, Simon spent 11 years at Goldman Sachs in London, New York & Hong Kong, latterly heading up Goldman's Asian equities distribution business in the UK & Europe for 6 years.
Simon specialized in advising hedge funds on their market positions and structuring their trades. These strategies included merger arbitrage, multi-strategy credit, credit arbitrage, macro, equity long/short and deep fundamental value. Prior to Goldman, Simon was with County NatWest.
Paul Duncombe
Paul joined Schroders in Feb 2007. Previously he worked for State Street Global Advisors, from 1995 to 2006. He was Global Head of Currency Management from 1995 to 2005, and then Managing Director of the London office from 2005 to 2006.
From 1989 to 1994 Paul worked for PanAgora Asset Management as a senior investment manager, where he jointly headed the global fixed income and currency team. From 1987 to 1989 he worked for Posthorn Global Asset Management as an investment manager, responsible for global fixed income portfolios and currency hedging strategies.
Peter Hugh-Smith
Peter Hugh-Smith has responsibility for Russell’s Private Client Services and distribution relationships within the UK and Ireland. He joined Russell in 1997 and was promoted to current role in 2006.
Based in London, Peter provides strategic advice and support to Russell’s existing fund partners such as Lloyds TSB Wealth Management and Scottish Widows Investment Partnership. In addition Peter is in charge of developing Russell’s services and products for the UK IFA market. Prior to Russell, Peter worked in Hong Kong with Seapower Asset Management, a large retail broker.
Bruce Weber
Bruce Weber is Professor of Information Management and Subject Area Chair of Management Science & Operations at the London Business School.
His research on IT strategy, financial systems and compliance, and the computerization of financial markets has been published in a number of academic journals, and has been cited in the Wall Street Journal and the Financial Times.
Dennis Hall
Dennis Hall is a Chartered Financial Planner and one of only a handful of UK based Kinder Institute accredited Registered Life Planners®. His financial planning skills have earned him Money Management's Retirement Planner of the Year 2007 and Investment Company Planner of the Year 2008.
Dennis established Yellowtail in April 2006 so that he could provide the kind of advice and service he felt was lacking in other financial services firms he had worked for. He is passionate about helping his clients see their big picture, and believes that financial advice isn't simply just about money.
Phil Billingham
Phil joined the Financial Services profession in 1982. He has since worked extensively within the IFA and Financial Planner professions.
Phil is both a CFP and a Chartered Financial Planner. Amongst other industry positions, he is a Director of the Institute of Financial Planning, and is a former Director and Vice-Chairman of the Society of Financial Advisers. Phil works with IFA’s, Financial Planners and Wealth Managers to help them change their business model and work more effectively within a regulated environment.
David Ingram
David's main areas of responsibility within threesixty include technical support, research training and marketing. He has been providing these services to advisers, both independent and tied, for 25 years, working for, amongst others, National IFA Co-operative Bank Financial Advisers and Sun Life (now Axa) as well as running his own consultancy business.
As a founder member (and branch chairman) of the Institute of Financial Planning, David is a firm believer that financial planning advice must be holistic, taking account of all of the client’s circumstances, and not given in isolation.
