PRACTICAL STEPS TO A NEW MODEL
9:30am - 12:30pm
Creating a Successful, Profitable and Valuable Financial Planning Intermediary Firm
Transitioning to a business model which is client relationship focused and based on fees is seen as the basis for building long term success. However, all too often presentations and workshops on the subject are short on detail and the “how”.
This workshop will provide you with practical and no nonsense guidance on:
- What and how you should be charging for your time by way of fees
- How to identify where you can add value to improve your service and margins
- How to effectively select and then manage your key relationships with, amongst others IT, compliance and Wrap providers
- How to retain control in relation to the timing and manner of any eventual sale
- How to position your business to maximise its value when it is sold
A series of checklists will be provided for those attending encompassing:
- Setting, negotiating and collecting fees
- Negotiating with and managing key supplier relationships
- Negotiating and conducting a sale of your business
