Platform Workshop
Supporting success through technology.
September 16th London, September 18th Manchester
9:30am - 12:30pm
The UK platform space is increasingly crowded and complex. With over 15 providers to choose between, and more coming on line all the time, the decision for IFAs and financial planners of which wrap to partner with is not an easy one to make.
Recent research shows that 2 out of 3 firms do not have a proper wrap strategy. When asked, fear of making the wrong choice is one of the main reasons holding advisers back from using technology to improve efficiency in their firms. Experience tells us that a proper use of wraps not only helps cut costs, but adds to the client offering and is a massive help when moving to a fee basis. The key question is not ‘what is the best wrap’, but ‘what is the best wrap for my business’.
This workshop will focus on helping advisers explore and crystallise their business proposition, and then, using that information, select the best wrap and platforms to partner with. Delegates will learn...
- The UK platform market – an overview
- The regulatory position post RDR
- Defining the client proposition and business model – what do you do for clients?
- The role of client segmentation and client propositions in the process - will one platform fit all?
- Due diligence – the process of selecting the right platform for both your firm and for your clients
- Implementation and migration - opportunities and threats
- Making the ongoing relationship work
